Faton Peci vs Dukagini TV
Political party candidate Vetevendosje for South Mitrovica municipality Faton Peci has continued low and unacceptable attacks against Dukagjin TV, via a post on its social networks.
Returning to Exit-Poll on October 12, Peci called it among other things TV Dukagjin as “the operating centre of the criminal company”.
The AGK considers Peci's communication to be deeply irresponsible, and the charge with very dangerous potential. It is unacceptable for a politician like Mr. Peci to provide such serious qualifications for a media, within his political struggle and the political party he represents.
The AGK demands that Mr. Peci and Vetevendosje urgently withdraw public accusations against television and journalists, as they serve as incentives for continued attacks on them.
The media environment to do their job has been very difficult, due to unacceptable rhetoric like this of Mr. Peci.
Media should be allowed free to report in all phases of the election process”.
