Kosovo police, namely the Regional Unit for Investigation of Economic Crimes and Corruption in Pristina, following investigations into co-ordination with the Special Prosecutor has arrested an official suspected of “misusing the official position” in public tender procedures.
According to the report, evidence has been provided during the investigation that allows for doubt that the public official has helped economic operators declare winners in specific tenders, adapting criteria set by the contracting authorities illegally.
The total value of tenders in question exceeds 8.8m euros.
The investigative actions have been conducted in continued co-operation with the Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo, including providing evidence and other investigative measures, including sequencing communication equipment.
