Covered in a white sheet, Mohan was placed in a coffin with flower wreaths and transported into a procession to a crematorium, all just to find out how many people would participate and how much love he would receive.
Trusting that the funeral was real and that the veteran had actually changed his life, hundreds of neighbors and friends flocked to Konchi to attend.
At the end of the procession, the father of two children arose, proving that he was alive.
He said: “After death, people carry the coffin, but I wanted to testify myself and see how much respect and love people give me. ”
A symbolic doll was eventually burned in crematorium, followed by a joint holiday for everyone in Konchi.
Mohan had previously financed and built a well - equipped crematorium in the village to address the difficulties of burial services during the rainy seasons. The resident told local media that he is very respected in the village for his years of social contribution.
