Trump plans to withdraw 2,000 American troops from northern Syria

White House officials have conveyed Trump's desire to Israel to withdraw about 2,000 American troops from Syria. “Syria is a mess, but it's not our friend and the United States should have no connection with it. This war is not ours. Let him evolve. Don't get involved”, Said Donald Trump in a post at the Truth Social platform.
By 2021, 900 American troops were deployed in Syria, while in December 2024, the number of troops reached 2000, while the Pentagon declared an increase because of the events leading up to the collapse of the Assad regime.
