Three key technology firms announced on Tuesday they will create a new company, called “Stargate” to increase artificial intelligence infrastructure in the United States
“OpenAI” Executive Chief Sam Altman, CEO of “SoftBank”, Masayoshi Son and chief of “Oracle”, Larry Ellison made it to the White House on Tuesday afternoon along with President Donald Trump to announce the company, which Trump called “the greatest intelligence project of AlI in history”.
Companies will invest $100 billion in the start of the project, with plans to spill up to $500 billion in Stargate in the coming years.
The project is expected to create 100,000 US jobs”, Trump said.
“Stargate” will build “physical and virtual infrastructure to empower the next generation of AI”, including data centres across the country, Trump said.
