He also ordered that troops, who had voluntarily left or left their jobs because they had refused to take the vaccine for COVID-19, return to the military.
In his order to the transplantors, Trump said that service from troops identified with a different gender from their biological gender, “bie faces a soldier's commitment to an honest, genuine, disciplined, even in personal life” and damages him for military readiness, seeking a revised policy to address this issue.
During his first term as president, Trump had also attempted to prevent the transgenders from serving in the army, but the case dragged on for entire courts and was later rejected by his successor, Joe Biden, shortly after taking office.
The two groups -- Lambda Legal and Human Rights Campagn, representing the transigrant soldiers when Trump served for the first time as president -- have vowed to fight back against the president's new order.
“We have been in this situation even seven years ago and have successfully managed to block administration efforts”, Lambda Legal lawyer Sasa Burchet said, arguing that such a decision violates the security of troops and the state, pledging that the groups for transgjior rights will again submit the case to the courts.
Close to 1.3 million active personnel serve in the U.S. Army, according to Defense Department data. While Transgjinor rights groups say that up to 15,000 transgenerial soldiers are in the army, officials say the number is smaller. /euronews
