Former judicial adviser of UNMIK, Hansjeorg Stromeyer, is expected to continue to testify today in the trial against former KLA leaders.
During testimony yesterday in a statement presented by Thaci's lawyer, he had said there are no other organisations structured in Kosovo except The NLA and we had negotiations to disarm with others besides them.
The witness was also released a witness's statement, namely General Mike Jackson, in a court process in England in which he had mentioned a meeting with Agim Ceku. According to the general's statement, he had met with Ceku to see if the agreement provisions were being respected.
At the session yesterday, Stromeyer has stated he is aware that Hashim Thaci is representative The KLA in the Interim Government has called for a multi-ethnic Kosovo.
I'm aware that such statements have occurred and that we've ever asked him to do this”, the witness stressed.
According to him, even in other cases, Thaci has played a useful role in disincentiveing situations, especially for short term.
It has even on other occasions made such calls and is an example of how he played a very useful, very productive role in resolving such situations especially in the short term”, the witness said.
Strommeer has stressed that in his statement he does not speak of a policy aimed at actions against Serbs.
“In my entire statement I don't believe I'm talking about a general policy because politics itself is a very objective or deliberate decision going in the direction. However, there may be behavior that enables or allows certain acts to go into fulfillment of a certain policy. So what I'm trying to say is there might be a difference between what General Jackson claims from the impressions that were created to me during the time I was that”, he said.
It is noteworthy that a significant portion of Stromeyer's testimony has been heard at private session for the public with the reasoning of preserving the source of information.
