That decision, including Bangladesh and Zambia, comes after parliament allocated less funding for foreign aid in December than the government had requested.
As Swissinfo reports, parliament has cut the $201m budget of international co-operation for 2025, which adds that this movement affects bilateral, economic and multilateral co-operation.
The Federal Council was announced for cuts in international co-operation Wednesday.
As a result, the Swiss Development and Co-operation Agency will complete its bilateral development programmes with Albania, Bangladesh and Zambia by the end of 2028.
From 2025 to 2028, there will also be widespread cuts for local andmatic programmes and organisations.
However, humanitarian aid and aid to Ukraine will remain intact.
