Landerholm, who had caused the debate that in his appointment due to close ties with Prime Minister Wolf Christersson, has previously been at the centre of some embarrassing situations, including the loss of a notebook during an interview and his telephone at the Hungarian embassy.
In a statement, Landerholm said: “I have been informed of the investigation and have notified the prime minister. Under these circumstances, I cannot continue my duties. ”
Prime Minister Christersson, who had defended the adviser against opposition criticism, acknowledged that the situation had become incompatible with the continuation of the task. The legal process will now follow,” he said.
