According to the prosecution's announcement, investigations have confirmed that the defendant with initial C.K., during the wartime period in Kosovo, during 1998-1999, the defendant committed sexual violence as a war crime against a victim of Albanian nationalism.
“Support provisions 234 par.2 and 303 pars. 7 of the KPP, the Special Prosecutor has proposed to the Court to keep the trial in absence because the defendant C.K. is unattainable to the organs of justice, while legal conditions by Article 234 have been met The KPP, for setting up the indictment in absentia”, says the announcement.
This criminal case has reportedly already passed the Special Department of the Foundation Court in Pristina for further procedure.
