Albania's Ministry of Education and Sports has announced that due to the difficult situation created by bad weather, authorities' recommendations for civil emergencies, as well as reports from local educational offices today, there will be a temporary suspension of the learning process in 77 schools and their subordinate branches.
Heavy snowfall and difficult weather conditions make learning impossible.
The situation presents particular problems in several schools in the areas of Bulqiza, Matt, Debar, Kruja, Hasi, Kukes, Mirday, Kurbin, Puka, and others. The learning process in these schools will be suspended until a second announcement and replaced in the coming weeks
This decision has been made to ensure the safety of students, teachers and educational personnel in areas affected by bad weather. The Ministry of Education and Sports is in constant communication with local authorities and civil emergency headquarters to monitor the situation and to take other measures, if necessary, writes Euronews.al.
