This embassy has also said that this year there is a further decline in permits which have been issued compared to past years, exactly in 2023, 2022 and 2021.
“The exchange of the first temporary residence permits for Kosovo citizens shows that in 2021, 2022 had increased temporary permits issued, while 21% less temporary residence permits compared to 2022 were issued in 2023. (In 202 to 13/12) a total of 3695 temporary permission has been issued, showing a further drop of”, states this embassy.
Visa liberalisation for Kosovo on 1 January this year has caused no one to apply for tourist visas to Slovenia.
The Slovenian Embassy has told news.net that the Law for Measures to Optimise certain procedures in administrative units (ZUOPUE) applies to the Republic of Slovenia since 25 July 2024.
This law, among other things, stipulates that the administrative unit towards a loan legally residing in the Republic of Slovenia and has submitted calls for issuing the residence and first unified work. With the aim of employment at his request, it issues confirmation of the demand filed for the release of the first unified permit, its stay in the Republic of Slovenia is allowed until the final decision on the application.
The report between Kosovo and Slovenia continues to remain good and co-operative, so the number of citizens going there to work exceeds a thousand.
Within the year Kosovars choose Slovenia as a place of living and employment.
