With the index of 162, Skopje is still the most polluted city in Europe and 11th in the world, according to data from a specialised website for measuring air quality.
The list of the most polluted cities in the world includes: Lahore, Delhi, Kampala, Dacha, Karachi, Hanoi, Doha, Manama, Cairo, and Akra.
This index shows that people with respiratory and heart problems, older ones, children, and pregnant women need to avoid prolonged exposure to nature. The use of protective masks is recommended, especially in the city's most polluted areas.
The Ministry of Life Environment and Space Planning yesterday urged institutions to implement their obligations to reduce air pollution.
“Intensification of extraordinary inspections in installations with A-Integrated Ecological Permission. Intensification of extraordinary field inspections for control of B-Integrated Ecological License, as well as Elaborate. Continued monitoring installations to enable public access to data from measurements. Intensification of extraordinary control of the technical operation of cars, especially those with unregistered oil and cars. Intensification of extraordinary control at construction shipyards”, the Life Environment Ministry in Northern Macedonia said.
The Ministry also recommended that all judicial subjects free pregnant women, individuals over 60, as well as people with chronic asthma, those who have had a miocardic heart attack or stroke, all legal subjects reorganize work schedules, and people who work in the wild work from 11:00 to 17:00, and are recommended not to organise sports events and cultural activities in nature. /Alsat
