Today it was scheduled to hold the Joint Commission meeting for Missing Persons in Brussels.
But the meeting has failed because the Serb side has refused to be at the meeting.
Andy Hoti gave the news.
“The meeting was not realised due to Serbia's refusal to participate in this meeting, even though the meeting was scheduled two weeks ago.
Serbia's chief negotiator was present in Brussels, despite not knowing what he asked for, as the meeting was viewed only for the issue of missing persons, and the format has been more substitute for Commissions.
Mr. Petkovic in Brussels is the most clear testimony that he himself orchestrated and guaranteed the failure of the previous meeting, turning a vital technical process into a shameful tool of politicisation and obstruction.
Serbia's argument for non-recognition in the meeting, except that the banal is also harmful for the process of making the fate of missing persons worse, and has nothing to do with the subject that are now called to Brussels.
This demonstrates Serbia's unwillingness to co-operate on this important issue for the same time.
That also shows Serbia's further politicalisation in relation to the issue of missing persons.
Meanwhile, the Kosovo delegation has held meetings with representatives of the European Union and submitted our demands according to the anticipated agenda, and for that we have received the announcement from Mr. Lajcak, to be reported our constructiveity and our requests to EU member states.
We continue to seek a fair and sustainable solution to the issue of missing persons, hoping in full co-operation of all parties involved” writes Hoti in the statement.
