Ymer Ymer, representative of Kosovo trade unions, has criticised Prime Minister Albin Kurti for failing to co-operate with the unions.
In an interview for the “Debat Plus”, Yeri said Kurti has had a harsh approach to trade unions and has tried to take control of them, demanding that they act on his interests.
“Since taking over government, Albin Kurti has never at any time been more under attack and less co-operative with both the ministry and the government. Kurt didn't cooperate with us as a union. We are the same leaders before Kurt's election. It is not the problem of meetings by the Union with leaders like Ramush Haradinaj, Kadri Veselini or Hashim Thaqi. The problem is that Kurt has tried to take the unions under his leadership, as well as the strong unions as he wants. It's coming out like it's known Unions or even Union leaders who don't submit to any government. Comparison of salaries in Kosovo, if we take over whether wages as a number have increased, they have increased, but if we compare pay values today and then again, we have pay cuts. If we compare values, if we've had a salary of 416 euros with a budget of 1 billion and a half, and today it's over 3 billion and a half. Which means the budget has doubled, but wages have had to be balanced today will take 800 euros, not 600 euros”Said Ymer.
