Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk accused Russia on Wednesday of planning sabotage acts worldwide, among them <x0-second terrorist” against airlines.
Mr. Tusk made comments in Warsaw at a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodyr Zelensky.
“will not go into detail, but I can confirm there is fear that Russia is planning acts of terror against airlines, not just against Poland, but around the world”, he said.
The Kremlin has dismissed earlier Western claims that Russia has paid for sabotage acts and attacks in Europe.
Western security officials suspect that the Russian discovery is behind a series of plots by placing explosive devices on planes that were transporting goods and products and flying toward North America. Among them were two planes that caught fire last year in Germany and England while loading packages for transport.
The Warsaw government, with approach to the European Union, says Russia is conducting hybrid war acts against Poland and other Western countries in retaliation for the support they are giving Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression.
Poland has accused Russia and its ally Belarus of inciting a migration crisis on the EU's eastern border with Belarus in order to create chaos and divisions in Europe.
Last year, Poland's foreign minister ordered the closure of one of the three Russian consulates in this country, in response to the acts of the rowing, which included, among other things, intentional fires, which he said were ordered by Moscow. /euronews
