As we have heard from more experts, time has been highlighted as the main challenge in the plane and helicopter crash in Washington.
Captain Chesley B. Sultan III, known as Sully, who successfully landed a passenger plane on the Hudson River in 2009, said it was “destroyed” from the incident.
“We have often learned important lessons tragicly, but we had finally reached a point where we could learn from incidents and not accidents”, he said.
The former pilot continued to explain the challenges of navigation of a plane overnight, writes The New York Times.

“Nata changes everything when it comes to seeing other planes basically, the only thing you can tell are their lights”, he said.
You have to try to understand: are they above you or are they below you? How far are they? Which way are they moving? Everything is more difficult at night”, Sully added.
There would be less light from the earth on water than on earth at night. This could have made it a little harder to see. But that's just an assumption. We don't know”, he's done.
Otherwise, Sulenberger made an extraordinary emergency landing on the Hudson River after his plane, Flight 1549, lost both engines after a bird crash. Because of his ability and tranquillity, all 155 passengers and crew survived without a loss of life. This heroic act was called “The miracle at Hudson” and remains one of the most successful emergency landings in aviation history.
