Pete Hegseth, Donald Trump's candidate for the US Secretary of Defence, was confirmed by the Senate late Friday evening, after facing charges of indecent behaviour that nearly marred his confirmation.

During Hegseth's confirmation hearing, he faced numerous questions about a claim to sexual assault, which he has denied as well as treachery and alcoholic beverages.
