The president's office, Vjosa Osmani, reports that based on constitutional and legal competencies, the president has signed tonight the decree with which convict Arza Calcoli, for humanitarian reasons, has been pardoned the remainder of the sentence, following review of the Commission's proposal for pardon and in line with legal procedures.
The report says that the <x0ved was taken because of the extraordinary circumstances, because the condemned child was born during the suffering of the sentence and is located at the Lipjan Women's Correcting Centre, along with her baby”.
