Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani is signed Monday in the Book of Montenegro for the death of former US President Jimmy Carter.
The presidency has announced on Monday that Osman has expressed condolences to the Carter family and the American people over Carter's death, saying that his commitment to peace and human rights “inspired generations of leaders worldwide”.
His commitment to service reminds us all that the real leadership is not about power, but about humanity, integrity and the protection of the causes. Kosovo will always honour its heritage as a champion for freedom, integrity and dignity. May his example continue to guide us all, and his example either a blessing to all who struggle for a better and more just world”, says the Presidency's announcement.
Carter died on December 29th at the age of 100.
The Democrat politician was president of the United States from 1977 to 1981, in a period when the US faced economic and diplomatic crisis
He is also Nobel Peace Prize laureates. Carter was the 39th president of the US.
