This is free Kosovo...
On January 4th 1999, at a time when the voice of freedom was threatened to disappear under the shadow of occupation and terror, Radio-Free Kosovo's voice was heard for the first time. It was a voice of hope and resistance that broke up the information isolation and gave a new breath in the struggle for freedom.
In those difficult days, when Kosovo was surrounded by violence and depression, this radio was turned into light torches for the morality and resistance of the Kosovo Liberation Army.
It was not just a means of communication, but a platform where the voice of freedom fighters reached every Albanian, keeping alive the spirit of resistance and belief in victory.
Her programs broadcast not only news and mobile messages but also songs, poetry and calls for national solidarity. At the time the conqueror tried to sow fear and despair, Radio-Free Kosovo became a symbol of hope and determination for freedom.
Today, 26 years after that memorable day, this voice remains a vivid testament to courage and sacrifice. He reminds us not only of the challenges and pains of that period but also of the strength of a people who never gave up.
Free Radio-Kosovo was and remains an immortal testimony to Albanian resistance and a permanent call to preserve freedom won by blood and sacrifice. On this anniversary, we remember all those who became the voice of truth and were perpetuated in the glorious history of Kosovo.
Glory to the martyrs and honor to all who kept their dream of freedom alive!
