Pristina-The Foundation Court in Pristina has continued its detention move for even two months, Dragisa and Jovan Viqejjevicq, suspected of the 29 November 2024 attack on the Iber-Lepenc channel in Varag of Zubin-Potok.
Mirlinda Gashi, spokeswoman for the Constitutional Court in Pristina, has confirmed this.
“reports that following the request of the Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo of 23,12.2014 for continuing the detention measure in the criminal case against defendants J.V. and D.V., the Constitutional Court in Pristina, the Special Department, with a date of 27.12.2024, has received the verdict and has approved the PSRK's request, so that the measure of detention of indictees J.V. and D.V., was continued in length of 2 (two months) for each, for<1 others, the Justice Commission confirmed.
According to the Special Prosecutor's File of the Republic of Kosovo, Jovan Viqjevic allegedly along with his brother Dragisa Viqejevic has deliberately damaged the water supply and carried out the terrorist work, using explosives.
Otherwise, the explosion in the Iber-Lepenci water channel in the village of Zubin-Potok, which allegedly took place with about 20kg of explosives, Kosovo authorities have named it a terrorist attack and said Serbia is responsible. The attack was also severely condemned by internationals.
Regarding this case during the raids in the north, police have seized weapons, ammunition, and other equipment.
