The League of Kosovo Businesses through communique say they strongly condemn the use of election campaigns to attack the image of businesses contributing to the country's economic development
This response comes after Prime Minister Albin Kurti's attacks on the Devolli Corporation last night at an electoral rally in Pec
According to the LBK, it is unacceptable for high public figures to express statements that violate the private sector and create a climate of intimidation for businesses operating in the country.
Full communication of the Kosovo Business League:
The Kosovo Business League strongly condemns using the election campaign to attack the image of businesses that contribute to our country's economic development and employ thousands of citizens. In particular, we reject any form of hate speech or baseless accusations intended to undermine corporate integrity in the recent case against Devolli Group and Devolli Corporation. We consider it unacceptable that high public figures express statements that violate the private sector and create a climate of intimidation for businesses operating in the country. These acts harm not only the image of companies involved but also the prospect of foreign investment, jeopardising the economic stability and welfare of Kosovo citizens. Businesses like Devolli Group and Devolli Corporation are important pillars of our economy, providing thousands of jobs and consistently contributing to the country's economic development. Any attack on businesses for political purposes should be halted immediately, as these actions do not represent public interest and seriously damage Kosovo's image as an open and secure investment country. We prefer politics to avoid baseless attacks on the private sector and focus on building a positive and supportive climate for businesses operating in our country. The League of Kosovo Businesses remains committed to the protection of a stable and fair environment for all businesses, encouraging transparency, law enforcement and partnership between the public sector and private for an economically stronger Kosovo.
