According to local media reports, the victims are a child and an adult while the attack occurred at 11:45 local time, at a parking lot in the city of Aschaffenburg, according to the BILD newspaper.
Police report that four people, including three adults and one child, have been attacked, and two of the wounded failed to survive the wound.
A person has been arrested at the scene and sent to custody, while authorities confirm there are no other suspects at the moment.
Still not clear is the motive for the attack, and the police have demanded that speculation be avoided. They have also assured the public that there is no further danger to public security.
For the investigation, a wide area of Schöntal Park is surrounded, and railway traffic in the area is temporarily suspended.
Meanwhile, authorities have announced that earlier, in November, parts of this park were declared dangerous “contains” and that patrols in this part of the city were common. /euronews
