A man from Indiana who was thanks to US President Donald Trump for the Capitol riots was killed by American police during a traffic ban a few days later.
Matthew Huttle, 42, was shot and killed on Sunday when police stopped his vehicle and suspected that he resisted and ended up in a “censac with a police officer, reports the BBC.
It is unknown what had been banned, however, that police have said Huttle had a firearm in possession during the traffic ban.
Hutle was one of about 1,600 people who were pardoned last week or were sentenced by Trump for their roles in the January 6, 2021 riots, when Trump supporters attacked the US Capitol building in Washington, DC.
Hutle was in the U.S. Capitol for about sixteen minutes during the riots and was sentenced to six months in prison as part of a plea agreement. He had been released from custody in July 2024.
