US and Swiss soldiers of KFOR mission have conducted joint training on American Blackhawk helicopters.
The “US and Swiss soldiers assigned to NATO Mission East Regional Command, KFOR, became together to conduct joint aviation training and MEDEVAC (the medical conference) on American Blackhawk helicopters at Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo”, has announced the Mission on its site.
These efforts are part of the daily KFOR mission in support for all communities in Kosovo, KFOR added.
Helicopters “Black Hawk” are multifunctional military helicopters produced by the American company Sikorsky. They are used mainly for troop transport, medical evacuation, air support, and other military operations.
KFOR reiterated that it continues to implement its mandate based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement, “at any time and impartially”.
KFOR added that it works in close co-ordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union's Mission to Rule of Law in Kosovo (EULEX), in their respective roles as security responders. /Express/
