Controverse and fascinating icon of international society, Jocelyn Wildenstein, dubbed “Catweman/wife-mac” for her buroistic characteristics of the cat achieved through multiple plastic surgery has changed lives in Paris at the age of 84. The cause of death was a pulmonary embole, while its partner, Lloyd Klein, described defeat as “a major tragedy”.
Born in Lozanne on September 7, 1945, Wildenstein became famous because of her physical transformation as a result of extreme plastic surgery devoted to millions of dollars. Despite numerous nicknames and criticisms, she always denied that she was dependent on surgery, but rather claimed that her traits originated with her family's genetic heritage, reports the report. CNN.
After marrying Alec Wildenstein, a French billionaire and art merchant, in 1978 during a love affair in Las Vegas, she became a familiar face among the elite of New York. However, their 21-year marriage ended unexpectedly in 1998 with what is considered one of the most expensive divorces in American history, an agreement that gave her some $2.48 billion and an annual payment of $99.2 million.
Thanks to this enormous wealth, “Catoman” was able to maintain a luxurious lifestyle by buying three apartments in “Trump Tower” and participating in exclusive events. In 2003, she met Lloyd Klein, a longtime designer and partner with whom she was engaged in 2017. The proposal came with a 32 carat ring, symbolising a love that, despite the scepticism of many, lasted over two decades.
With 1.1 million followers in the Instagram, Wildenstein became a symbol of the quest for aesthetic perfection and the transforming power of aesthetic surgery. Her life, filled with awe, sparked debate and left a lasting impression on the world of celebrities and pop culture.
If you feel good about defects, aging, you don't have to do anything. Otherwise, you have to pick the right doctor”She told Zed Nelson in 2006.
Her love for African tigers continued for a while. She built an bulletproof cage for two tigers that adapted to the residence with 300 employees. At the time, Jocelyn told Vanity Fair that she and her husband spent about $1m a month. For him, a Chanel dress cost $350,000 was worth it.
But her longer-term project was her face. Wildenstein underwent extreme cosmetic interventions, even though he denied it. Her eyes drew ever closer to her temples, her skin stretched hard, and her cheekbones were ever too high.
But even though always in the media's attention, Wildenstein's life remains a mystery. She had promised to confess more in a series conducted by HBO that would emerge in 2023, but the project was not accomplished.
