JD Vance was sworn in at the Capitol's facilities in Washington for taking office as vice president of the United States.
Vance will serve as Donald Trump's deputy, who will be the 47th president of the United States.
I solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreigners and interiors; that I will maintain true faith and loyalty to the same; that I will freely take this obligation, without any reserve mental or intention of evasion; and that I will do the duties of the office that I am going to enter. So help me God”, Vance said in his oath.
The duo Trump and Vance secured the next mandate at the White House helm following the victory of presidential elections against Democrats led by candidate Kamala Harris, Vance's predecessor in the new post.
