President Vjosa Osmani has today accepted the credentials of Japan's new ambassador to Kosovo, Kiminor Iwama.
The presidency said that after congratulating the new Japanese ambassador's welcome and success in his mandate, Osman also conveyed the heartfelt “with the occasion of Japan's new Emperor Naruhio's birthday, which is today marked by Japan's Embassy, to be held in honour of this day.
“During the meeting, President Osmani praised Japan as a long-term strategic partner and expressed gratitude for Japan's continued support of Kosovo, especially through the Japanese Agency for International Co-operation (JICA). She stressed Japan's precious contribution to Kosovo's development in various areas, including the environment, political and diplomatic issues, media, health equipment, food safety, information technology, etc. ”.
Osmani also stressed the importance of expanding further co-operation in trade, investment, culture, health and education, including Japanese educational scholarship projects and cultural exchange programmes for Kosovo youth, the Presidency added.
Among other things, at this meeting, Osman discussed with Ambassador Weama about her planned and agreed visit to Japan in June of this year.
