In his account in “Facebook”, Hoti wrote
Today, we commemorate an extraordinary personality, President of History Dr. Ibrahim Rugova, the founding father of the state of Kosovo. He passed away in 2006, but his ideals, courage and vision of a free and democratic Kosovo continue to inspire any citizens and leaders who love the country. Dr. Ibrahim Rugova led the country with a clear vision and a strong character. He believed in peace, dialogue and international diplomacy. It remains a symbol of political sustainability for realising the aspirations of the Kosovo Albanian people for freedom and justice. He was a thinker and spiritual leader who left a strong legacy for a better future. Kosovo today is what it is, thanks to its leadership”, has written Hoti.
He has appreciated that all his associates should be honored today.
“Today, also we honor every associate who contributed to this journey, remembering that the struggle for strengthening the state of Kosovo continues. God bless Kosovo! God bless the Democratic League of Kosovo and we, as descendants of Dr. Ibrahim Rugova, we are obliged to protect this heritage and fulfill its dream! God bless the people of Kosovo.
