EULEX trains for crowd control, unrest

Mission EULEX reports it held training yesterday for crowd control and unrest between the EULEX Specialised Police Unit ( NEPS) and the Specialised EULEX Reserve Unit ( One The PSR) ) provided by the European Gendarmerie Force (EUROGENDFOR) and deployed in Kosovo in the context of the upcoming general elections. The training was held at the KFOR base in Novosell, aimed at empowering operational capacities and promoting interoperacy among these multinational entities, focusing on the potential need for operational response.
The raid included NEP police officials from Poland, as well as members of France's National Gendarmerie, Italy's Carabinier, Lithuania's Public Security Service, and Portugal's Guarda Nacional Republicana, as well as the Hungarian KFOR KFOR KTRBN Forces. Units were trained for scenarios of the potential need for reforming order and controlling crowds and riots as the second security responseer, if required, and in accordance with EULEX mandate”, EULEX reports.
