On the 26th anniversary of the Recak massacre, the European Union in Kosovo says justice and responsibility for crimes committed by Recak remain delayed.
Through a post at “X”, the European script office in Kosovo honours and remembers all the victims of this massacre.
We today solidify with #Kosovo's families and people to honour and remember the victims of the Recak massacre, a terrible crime that left an unmarked wound 26 years later. Their lives were brutally claimed and justice and responsibility remained delayed”, said the EU response on the X platform.
Today, we stand in solidity with the families and people of #Kosovo to honour and remember the victims of the Recak/Račak mass, a committed crime that left an unheeded six years ago on.
Their lives were brutally taken, and justice and accountability remain overdue.
