Diplomat from Denmark, Peter Sorensen, has been confirmed by European Union ambassadors for the post of the bloc's special representative for dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia.
Sorensen has been chosen by the European Union's high representative for foreign policy and security, Kaya Kallas, to replace Miroslav Lajcak in this position.
EU foreign ministers will give final consent Monday so that Sorensen from early February starts his mandate.
The current envoy, Lajcak, expires the mandate on 31 January. / REL.
