In an X (Twitter) status, Hoxhaj has stressed their long-standing friendship and Schallenberg's support for Kosovo and the European integration of the Balkans.
“Urim for Alexander Schallenberg for taking office as Austria's Chancellor! A great friend of mine and a powerful supporter of Kosovo. His devotion to the integration of the entire region into the EU is powerful. I wish them success in this important role.”, Hoxhaj wrote.
Hoxhaj and Schallenberg have had numerous meetings at international conferences in recent years, including the Globsec forum in Bratislava and the Munich Security Conference.
Schallenberg is known for his pro-enhancing European Union stances and continued support for Kosovo on its path towards European integration.
