Earthquakes are common in this part, but today was one of the deadliest in recent years, reports the BBC, broadcast Klakosova.tv.
The 7.1 magnitude quake that struck at a depth of 10 kilometers, according to data from the US Geological Service, was also felt in Nepal and in parts of India.
Initially, Chinese media reported that the quake had a slightly smaller magnitude of 6.8, and according to these reports, the quakes had caused damage to more than a thousand homes.
