Yesterday, authorities said five people were killed in the Eato Fire, which is in East LA.
This figure was initially linked to deaths only because of the Eaton fire, but officials have later clarified that four bodies were identified in that fire, with one in the Palisades.
They stress that once they enter areas that have been restricted so far due to fires, and the figures can change at any time.
Robert Luna, the district sheriff, declared today that he cannot be sure how many people died in the fires, reports NBC News.
