The first two days, in road communication, did not result in good luck. For the first 48 hours of 2025, 144 accidents occurred.
According to the Kosovo Police on January 1st, there are 46 traffic accidents, 26 of them injured accidents, and 40 accidents with material damage, and on January 2, 98 accidents, 31 of them injured accidents, and 67 accidents with material damage.
One of the factors of these accidents is considered dense fog, and its incompatibility.
The dense fog also presents such problems until these traffic accidents also pose a very high risk, given that visibility is very important in driving vehicles. And it's exactly one of the elements/ the factors that can happen with accidents.”, says Nol Deday, professor of communications.
With appeals to drivers, Kosovo Police have also come out, seeking caution under fog conditions, using fog lights, keeping speed control, and following the right arm of the road.
As important as it is, keeping distance from vehicle to vehicle is also valued in these atmospheric conditions.
“Maintain the safety distance to other tools, as well as adjust the speed and the weather conditions and conditions of the road - in our case and in our case of the mist” - says Deday.
For January 1st and 2nd, 27 people have been arrested, while 22 others have been sent to maintenance. /tat1/
