Kosovo's National Public Health Institute (IKSHPK) in co-operation with the World Health Organisation's Office (OBSH) in Kosovo, has issued an announcement to citizens concerning the human metapneumovus ( h MPV, offering information on its symptoms and prevention.
According to the IKSHPK, although this virus has not been declared a global emergency, health authorities have strengthened monitoring measures and care to prevent infection.
IK The KPS has stressed that human metaphneumovosis, which often causes symptoms similar to common cold, spreads through points during coughing and sneezing, and through close contact with infected individuals.
Symptoms include coughs, fever, nazal collation and whistles, while for the most sensitive persons such as children, the elderly and those with weakened immunity, can cause serious complications such as bronze or pneumonia.
To prevent the spread of this virus, the Institute recommends that individuals wear masks in crowded spaces, cover coughs and sneezings, practice regular washing of hands, and stay at home while they are sick.
In the meantime, for any alleged symptoms, consultation with the doctor is recommended for appropriate care measures.
