At around 6:40 p.m. tonight, there was reported traffic accident with fatal consequences, which took place on the regional Mitrovica-Peje road, the road segment in the village of Cubrell of Skyright.
Two cars, one of them an official police car, were involved.
As a result of the accident, three civilian lives have been lost based on information provided, as many as five others, four of them police officials, have suffered injuries.
Police units and management staff have come to the scene, while investigators of the regional road traffic unit are being taken into investigation and causes of the accident.
The competent institutions, the IPK and the competent prosecutor who are expected to appear at the scene have been notified.
Skyrewright Mayor Fadil Nura has indicated that from the fatal accident on the Mitrovica highway, Peja, in the village of Cubrell, three people have been confirmed dead by police, respectively.
Nura expressed shock at the event, expressing his condolences to the victims' families.
“The situation has weighed down after the Cubrel accident, with three victims so far confirmed by Kosovo police.
