The choice of KPM chairman: The Founding Prosecutor confirms that he is considering the case for criminal action

Pristina Constitutional Prosecutor's Chief Prosecutor, Zejrullah Gashi, has confirmed for “Justice Trust” that, for the January 17th developments in the KPM, a prosecutor has been committed.
“Yeah, we're in the review phase, a prosecutor is engaged, and we're also assessing the aspect of competence, whether it's the competence of our attorney or the Special Prosecutor.”, Gashi has confirmed.
At the latest KPM meeting, three days before the mandate was completed, President Jeton Mehmeti was elected the new chairman.
But before the gathering begins, media lawyer Butterie Kusari reacted by saying this process is politically motivated and is taking place before new KPM members are elected.
At that meeting, advance in the order of the day, completion of the work regulation at Article 3 “KPM Mayor Selection”, where the 2th paragraph was added to, is determined:
“Except for paragraph 1 of this article, the mayor's election -- the deputy chairman, respectively -- could take place within a month before the chairman's mandate is expired, especially to ensure that the KPM does not remain without chairman, respectively, in the event it remains without a quorum for their selection”.
