The CEC plans the commitment of 414 members to the Landing Council on diplomatic representations in 19 states

This vote, organised for the first time in the history of the state of Kosovo, will be organised in 19 different states of the world, mainly in Europe, but the locations with the Kosovo Republic's coat of Kosovo and the CEC logo will be opened in America, Canada and Australia as well.
This news has been disclosed to EO by CEC spokesman Valmir Elezi, who has indicated that 184 reserve members are included in the total number of appointed members.
According to the CEC, the composition of localisation councils on diplomatic representation is an issue defined in the General Election Law, so it must reflect the political subjects represented in the Assembly, which have submitted to the election threshold, which are certified to compete in the election and an official from diplomatic representation.
According to the CEC's decision, Local Councils at a polling station on diplomatic representation will consist of 5 members, 4 of which represent parliamentary political subjects that have submitted to the election threshold, and another is representative by diplomatic representation. So, in general, the number of members of the Election Councils that will be engaged on Election Day on February 8 is 230 members, out of whom 184 represent political subjects and 46 other diplomatic representations. Meanwhile, the number of reserve members is 184”, Elez said.
Elez has indicated that for the first time in the history of the state of Kosovo, voting will be organised on diplomatic representations imposed in 19 different countries of the world, mainly in Europe, but also in the US, Canada and remote Australia.
For the first time in the history of the state of Kosovo, the vote will be organised on diplomatic representations, which are largely located in European states. The vote will also be organised in the United States, at the Kosovo Embassy in Washington, at the consulate of New Jougus and Iowas, at the embassy and consulate of Kosovo in Canada and at the Kosovo Embassy in Australia. So, according to the CEC decision, the voting process will take place at a total of 46 seats under 17 embassies and 15 consulates of the Republic of Kosovo that are located in 19 different states of the world”, Elez said.
Under the Law for the General Elections, voting on diplomatic representations will be organised a day before Election Day in Kosovo -- that is, on February 8, 2025.
Out of the total number of registered voters outside Kosovo of 104,924, to vote physically on diplomatic representation are registered 20,399 Kosovo citizens, while the rest are registered to vote via mail.
Currently, the voting period is under way for about 85 thousand Kosovo citizens who are registered to vote through mail.
