CEC members cast doubts about manipulation of voting by mail, VV against

Member of The PDK in the CEC, Ilir Gashi, has raised concerns about the voting process through the diaspora, warning of the risk of manipulation and legal violations that could violate the integrity of elections abroad, Online Economy reports.

He has released a video that, according to him, has been distributed on social networks, and calls on those who are registered to vote by mail to get help on how to vote.

According to him, this assistance is being given at party office or improvised deployments.

This Gashi is illegal and I request that the State Prosecutor investigate these cases.

He added that voting through office should be individual and any intervention or assistance affecting voters conflicts with the law and the integrity of the election process.

I need to raise a concern that in January the process of voting in the diaspora has begun and we know that this process is difficult to monitor because it is impossible to have people to pass the voting through mail. There is open public tendency to manipulate the process in some cases of the diaspora process. Yesterday I accepted from social video networks, which invite voters through the mail to help them vote. These are trends to contain this process. Voting is not allowed in cafes, party offices. There is danger that perions that provide assistance at these improvised locations may have an impact on the vote. Third, the runway vote should be individual. These are criminal acts. They dare not install such practices. I call on the State Prosecutor to take steps”, Gashi has said.

CEC VV member Sami Kurteshi said the issue raised by Gashi is not to be disturbed.
