CEC accredits observers of dozens of international organisations, embassies and NGOs

Only during Tuesday's meeting, The CEC has accredited observers of dozens of foreign diplomatic representatives accredited in Kosovo and inter-member organisations.
Among the accredited were non-governmental local organisations and observers from the Ombudsman's Institution.
In general, The CEC amended the next group of 1,680 observers for Kosovo Assembly Monitoring, which will be held on 9 February 2025, out of which 13 observers from election management bodies from different states; 81 observers from foreign member states' representations accredited in Kosovo; 1,126 observers from local NGOs; 393 observers from various international organisations; and 67 observers from the Ombudsman Institute.
By the total number of accredits, The CEC accredited about 400 observers from various international organisations who specialised in the field of elections, among them: The Election Monitoring Mission from the European Union, the Council of Europe's Parliamentary Assembly, the Association of World Election Officials (A-WEB), I FES, International I DEA, National Democratic Institute (NDI), International Republic Institute (IRI), the EU Office in Kosovo, etc.
Similarly, the CEC has accredited more than 80 observers of various embassies in Kosovo, 24 of whom from the US Embassy and 30 others from Great Britain.
The embassies of other countries, such as France, Italy, the Netherlands, Japan, Finland, Sweden, and Turkey, were also adopted by the CEC. According to the CEC's announcement, the February 9th elections will also be monitored by election institutions from various states, such as Albania, Croatia, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia and Bulgaria. /eo
