Canada's Conservative Party leader Pierre Poilievre has reacted after Donald Trump's threat of annexing Canada, stressing that Canada “will never become the country of 51st” of the United States.
Poiliev called his country “large and independent” and criticised Justin Trudeau's government for failing to tell the US force and strong alliance.
Poilievre also promised that it would fight for Canada”, if it becomes prime minister, following Trudeau's resignation.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump, who spoke from Mar-a-Lago, was asked if he was considering using the military force to take Canada, but he replied:
No, economic strength. Because Canada and the United States, that would be something big”.
