His reaction comes after the question British MP Paul Foster, who is a member of the “Kosovo Minister Labusist”, concerning the security agreement between Kosovo and the United Kingdom.
“While I was in Kosovo, I met with the president and prime minister who were seriously concerned about entry into their northern border, where KFOR troops are stationed between them and Serbia”.
Could our ministers offer any updates regarding the bilateral security agreement between Kosovo and the United Kingdom? That peace was won with much effort and must be maintained”, Foster said.
While Douglas said that Great Britain has a historic role in relation to Kosovo and, according to him, KFOR has an essential contribution to maintaining a safe environment in the country, where British troops, according to him, play a key role in this.
“We engage closely with our partners in Kosovo and actually side by side with the region and continue to call on Kosovo and Serbia to engage constructively in the EU-launched dialogue”, he said.
