Rexhepi has been charged by the Special Prosecutor for the kidnapping and disappearance of Jan Pringa on January 17th 2020. Dritan Rexhepi, once a law student, is now known as one of the most powerful drug narcotics addicts from South America to Europe.
He has 25 years in prison for the murder of two policemen, Arben Keqi and Durim Kasmi, in Fushe-Cruje in 1998.
Rexhepi has also been known for his spectacular escapes from prisons.
In 2007, he escaped the Durres police. A year later, he made another escape from Pavia prison in Italy and then another escape to Belgium. Rexhepi used his forged passport, named Lulzim Murataj, to move to Kakaville, and has not returned to Albania since 16 November 2013.
