President Vjosa Osmani has hosted the US Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Insurance today, Richard R. Verma.
As the presidency announced, the steadfast alliance between Kosovo and the United States of America was renewed at this meeting, and ways for deepening strategic co-operation between the two countries were discussed.
At this meeting, Osmani reaffirmed the proposal he made to the US, since 2021 for strategic dialogue between Kosovo and the United States, as a platform that would serve to strengthen co-operation in areas of strategic and mutual interest.
This way, Z. Secretary Verma gave President Osmani the excellent news that the agreement for strategic dialogue between our countries will be finalised soon and agreed that our teams will work intensively in the days ahead regarding this process”, the Presidency said.
Both sides agreed to continue close co-operation to advance common interests and strengthen the partnership between Kosovo and the United States of America.
The meeting also discussed Kosovo's commitment to reform in rule of law, advancing good governance and promoting a stable investment and economic development environment”.
Osmani and Verma also discussed Kosovo's contribution to international issues, including the expectation of Afghan citizens, support for Ukraine and continued commitment to promoting global peace and security.
“President Osmani expressed deep gratitude for the continued and bipartisan support of Kosovo, stressing Washington's crucial role in our journey towards freedom, independence and strengthening of democratic institutions”.
