“Berliner Zeitung”: Lumir Abdixhiku is conservative hope

On the eve of parliamentary elections in Kosovo, the candidate for prime minister of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Lumir Abdjiku, has received the backing of German MP Peter Beyer and politics Ulrich Schlie.

Peter Beyer, the CDU MP in Bundestag, has expressed his support for Abdixhik, naming him a serious and capable politician during a prononnition for the German medium “Berliner Zeitung. ”

“E recognised Lumir Abdixhiku for many years and I have successfully collaborated with him within the family of the European People's Party (EPP),” claims Beyer for Berliner Zeitung.

He praises the LDK leader as an experienced and sincere leader who understands the importance of reforms for the country's future.

It stands out as a new but also experienced and sincere leader,” adds Beyer. “He is a man with a realistic vision: he understands structural reforms are necessary,” added German CDU politician.

German Professor Ulrich Schlie, an expert on security issues and strategy at the University of Bonn, gave a similar assessment.

“Taking into account political developments in Europe, Kosovo's future has a crucial significance for the stability of the Western Balkans,” says the professor of security studies and strategy at the University of Bonn.

“To make Kosovo's European perspective a reality in the near future, politicians are needed who, like Abdixhiku, devote themselves to European values,” adds Schlie.
