ASS: Consumer prices rise in Kosovo

Kosovo Statistics Agency (ASK) has reported that consumer prices rose to 1.1% annual and 0.7% monthly. The overall harmonised consumption prices “is higher at an average of 1.1% in December 2024, compared to December 2023. Monthly inflation was 0.7% in December 2024. [...]
The overall harmonised consumption prices “is higher at an average of 1.1% in December 2024, compared to December 2023. Monthly inflation was 0.7% in December 2024. While the average annual inflation rate for 2024 is 1,6%”, the AK reports.
The overall harmonised consumer prices index in the country in 2024 was higher at an average of (1.6 %) compared to 2023. The rise in consumer prices index has been observed in COICOP companies and subgroups: flight tickets (10.8%), coffee, tea and cacao (8.0%), alcoholic beverages (6.9%), goods and services for normal home economy maintenance (6.5%), financial services (5.8%), mineral water, non-alcohol drinks, fruit and vegetables (5.3%), glass, tacalins and kitchen tools (52%), sugar, curly, milk, chocolate, chocolate, chocolate and chocolate, (5) trees, (4.8%), newspapers, and newspapers, (46%, Fi% electricity, (30% personal fuel, fuel, etc.), fuel, fuel, fuel, etc. (3.3%), smoking (2.7%), bread and cereal (2.5%), hotel services (2.0%) and meat (1.9%) with a combined 2.0 per cent impact on IHCK.

The overall harmonised consumer prices index is higher at an average of 1.1 % in December 2024 compared to December 2023. This is mainly explained with the establishment of consumer prices in this period in groups and subgroups of COICOP: coffee, tea and cacao (14,4%), oils and fats (9.3%), financial services (9.1%), mineral water, non-alcohol drinks, juices from trees and vegetables (5), newspapers, books and office materials (5.0%), goods and household maintenance services (4.8%), glass, kitchen drinks, (45%), milk and cheese, cheese and vegetables, 3.8%, alcoholic drinks, clothes (39%), meat, (29%), cash and cash, cash and sugar products (s) and chocolates (s) and chocolate products (1.5%) (au%) and chocolates (s) (s) and food products (s), 1).
As prices drop in COICOP group: solid fuels, firewood, diapers, and so on. (-8.3%), fuels and lubricants for personal transport equipment (-5.7%), trees (-4.1%), auto purchase (-2.5%) and electricity (-2.2%) with a common impact of these subgroups -0.9 percent on IHCH.
The overall harmonised consumer prices index is higher at an average of 0.7, % in December 2024 compared to November 2024. This is mainly explained with the rise of consumer prices in this period in COICOP groups and subgroups: flight tickets (25.4%), electricity (6.2%), vegetables (2.5%), coffee, tea and cocoa (2.2%) and milk, cheese and eggs (1.3%) with a combined impact of these sub-groups 0.8 percent on IHC.
As prices drop in COICOP group: trees (-2.5%) and alcoholic beverages (-1.2%) with an impact of -0.1 percent on IHCK.
