The top American official lands in Albania, will visit Kosovo as well as Kosovo “democracy and security”

“Zbarkova in beautiful Albania! Happy to start my visit and work with our partners to strengthen democracy, security and support those in need”.
In Albania, Kosovo and Serbia, it will remain from 7 January to 11 January.
As the US State Department had announced in Tirana, it would discuss Albania's democratic progress, defence skills and deepening economic ties with the United States and would thank Albania's “Government for continuing support of our Afghan allies”.
In Kosovo, the State Department said Verma would discuss the normalisation of Kosovo's relations with Serbia through EU facilitated dialogue, strengthening governance and rule of law, as well as boosting economic growth and energy security for the benefit of all Kosovars.
“He will also thank the Government of Kosovo for its strong support to Ukraine and for its help to Afghans in need”.
In Serbia, the deputy secretary will emphasise the increased US-Serbia strategic partnership for energy and other economic issues”.
“It will provide support for Serbia's integration into European institutions, normalising Serbia's relations with Kosovo, strengthening rule of law and closer bilateral co-operation for military and security issues”, the statement said.
It will also reaffirm the United States' commitment to Western Balkan countries until they pursue the goal of Euro-Atlantic integration and deeper regional co-operation.
